Process Engineer
Location: Mumbai, India
Position Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions, and ensure that production goals are met.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting process analysis and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Developing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Designing and implementing process control strategies to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to address process-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to address process deviations and non-conformances.
- Developing and maintaining process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
- Providing technical support and training to production personnel to ensure proper execution of processes.
- Monitoring process performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for further improvement.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in process engineering and implementing relevant technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in process engineering within industry or sector
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective solutions.
- Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB, Simulink).
- Experience with process control systems and methodologies (e.g., PID control, statistical process control).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, OSHA, EPA).
